SCIENCE SUBJECT COMMITTEE MEETING FOR THE MONTH OF MAY 2017

AGENDA POINTS

·          Focusing on slow bloomers.

·          Providing a minimum of 2 pages per day as homework.

·          Proper note book checking.

·          Conducting seminars on various topics.

·          Focusing on numerical portion.

·          Assigning targets to all students.

·          Class test on regular intervals.

·          Using proper AV aids for effective reaching.

·          Contacting parents related to achievement of class XII students in ongoing monthly exams.

·          Using video lectures for various topics.

 MINUTES OF MEETING

1.        Special attention should be given to slow bloomers to help them improving their performance their handwriting should be taken care of.

2.        As a home assignment a minimum of 2 pages per day should be assigned. The assigned task must be other than textual questions.

3.        Notebook checking should be given proper attention for any wrong answer or wrong spellings rewritten work should be given.

4.        After completion of the chapter seminars on various topics are to be conducted by the students.

5.        As the numerical problems cover a major portion of the final question papers. So more and more focus should be given to numerical problems.

6.        Keeping the view the percentage achieved by the previous class XII students. The present students should be assigned targets.

7.         For improving the performance of student’s class tests should be conducted on regular basis.

8.        More and more AV aids should be used by the teacher effectively.

9.        After checking the answer sheets of the ongoing monthly tests parents of the weak students should be contacted and their achievement should be discussed.

10.     The video lectures for all topics should be downloaded by the subject teachers and get them saved in the same computers in the computer lab. So that students can easily learn/ revise all the topics.
